Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) is a two-year undergraduate program designed to provide students with essential knowledge and practical skills in the field of pharmacy. It covers subjects such as pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmacology, and pharmaceutical dosage forms, preparing students for careers as pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and in the healthcare sector.
Candidates must have completed 10+2 (Senior Secondary) with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Mathematics from a recognized board. A minimum of 50% marks is required for admission. An entrance exam is conducted by the University for admission.
D.Pharm graduates can pursue careers as pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, or drug inspectors in hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, or pharmaceutical companies. They may also work in the manufacturing and quality control of pharmaceutical products or opt for further studies in B.Pharm or other healthcare fields.
