The Counselling and Wellness Centre (CWC) at Aryavart International University is a dedicated support unit committed to the holistic well-being of students, faculty, and staff. The Centre provides a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental environment for individuals seeking emotional, psychological, and personal support.

Services Offered
- Individual Counselling
One-on-one sessions addressing personal, academic, emotional, or psychological concerns.
- Group Counselling & Support Groups
Structured group sessions focusing on shared concerns such as stress management, peer relationships, and life transitions.
- Academic Stress & Career Counselling
Guidance for students experiencing academic pressure, examination anxiety, or uncertainty about career pathways.
- Crisis Intervention
Immediate support for individuals in acute psychological distress or emergency situations.
- Wellness Workshops & Awareness Programmes
Regular sessions on topics such as mindfulness, time management, substance awareness, gender sensitivity, and mental health literacy.
- Referral Services
Facilitation of referrals to external mental health professionals, hospitals, or specialist services when required.
Referral Procedure
- Internal Referral
Identification by a faculty member, warden, peer, or university official; submission of the CWC Referral Form; counsellor contact within 48 working hours; intake assessment and support plan; confidential follow-up with consent.
- Self-Referral
Students and staff may walk in or contact the Centre directly without a formal referral. All self-referrals are treated with equal priority and confidentiality.
- External Referral
Used when specialist psychiatric care, hospitalization, or long-term therapy is needed beyond the Centre's scope, with support in locating professionals and maintaining continuity of care.
External Referral Steps
- Discuss need
The counsellor explains why external referral is appropriate.
- Identify support
Appropriate professionals, hospitals, or specialist institutions are identified.
- Coordinate responsibly
Parents or guardians are involved where required, especially for minors or emergencies, along with university administration when necessary.
- Follow up
The Centre maintains a continuity-of-care approach after the referral.
Confidentiality Policy
All interactions with the Counselling and Wellness Centre are strictly confidential. Information shared by individuals will not be disclosed to any third party, including faculty, parents, or institutional authorities, without the explicit written consent of the individual.
- Risk of serious harm
Disclosure may occur where there is a serious risk to the individual or others.
- Minor protection
Disclosure may occur in cases involving abuse or exploitation of a minor.
- Legal obligation
Disclosure may occur where there is a legal or statutory duty to report.
Wherever practicable, the individual will be informed before any disclosure is made.
